On Saturday, June 2, 2012 at 11:30 am, new FAU head football coach and former Nebraska Defensive Coordinator, Carl Pelini will be at CJ's Drafthouse for meet and greet with the South Florida Huskers! Coach Pelini will talk about the upcoming FAU season and his past experience with our favorite football team, the Nebraska Cornhuskers. Admission to the event is free, but donations are appreciated. FAU will also have representatives present for those interested in getting tickets to an upcoming FAU game. CJ's will be offering a 10% discount on all food purchases along with drink specials. Please RSVP to southflhuskers@gmail.com by Thursday, May 31 to accommodate seating.
The South Florida Big Ten Schools will be hosting a happy hour at the Maggiano's (www.maggianos.com), 21090 St. Andrews Blvd, Boca Raton, just west of the Town Center Mall. The happy hour runs from 3 pm to 6 pm. Various drink and food specials will be available to Big Ten guests. This will be a nice opportunity to meet other alumni and fans of Big Ten schools.

If any of you, or your friends, are interested in joining our board (you don't have to be an alumnus of Nebraska), we would love to have you. We organize several events each year including the watch parties and we need your help to plan these events. We'd like to do more for our chapter and our community, but we need more people to make this happen.
Besides the events we do, we will be having joint happy hours with other Big Ten schools this summer. Announcements will be made periodically and posted on our Facebook page and website for the latest information.
