South Florida Huskers Alumni Chapter

The new South Florida Huskers 2010 T-shirts are now available. These new shirts are a higher quality than in past years and feel great! Shirts are $20 each. Where else can you find a Husker shirt with palm trees? The black shirts have a light white stitching around the sleeves and bottom. These shirts make great Husker gifts. These shirts will be available for purchase at the Watch Party or can be purchased at the SFHuskers Store. Thanks for your support!

Game day is upon us! The first game of the season is Saturday, September 4^th at 7 pm vs. Western Kentucky. This is a pay-per-view event and CJ’s Drafthouse in Deerfield Beach will have the game. There is no fee to watch the game.

WATCH PARTY INFO--Since it’s a pay-per-view game and it’s the first game of the season and this is the only bar in the area that we know that will have the game, it might be a bit crowded. Our advice is to come out early and wear red. We will be playing a DVD of last year’s Holiday Bowl starting at 5 pm.

At each watch party we will be selling raffle tickets for Husker memorabilia and $25 CJ’s gift certificates. CJ’s also offers all Husker patrons 10% off all food purchases. Drink specials include: Red Beer, Elk Creeks, and $5.50 Jager Bombs. CJ’s will also be making their own South Florida Runza version to accommodate our fans and have dedicated waitresses for us.

SUPER FAN--The South Florida Huskers have been around since 2007 and since that time Jerry Lippincott has been the friendliest face in overalls anyone has ever seen. Jerry has welcomed just about every person at CJ’s and introduced folks to each other. Jerry has also been the commanding leader of gathering volunteers each year to attend the Homestead races each November. This will be Jerry’s last game on Saturday since he has decided to pull up his stakes and return to Nebraska just in time for the first snow. We wish him and Jan well.

ITEMS FOR SALE AT THE WATCH PARTY--Husker Shafts (holds six cans) in a cooler tube $15; South Florida Huskers T-shirts in red $15 (limited quantities); Corn Head hands - $9 (limited quantities); Raffle tickets – $1 for one or $5 for six tickets.
